Experience art. Feel Tyrol.
ART-Line in Fiss
The Hotel TIROL dedicates a special space to art. Blending alpine lightness with stylish presentation, art comes to life here – in the newly designed ART-Line corridors, at curated exhibitions and during delightful vernissages. Anyone looking for a hotel with art will find a place here that combines aesthetics, hospitality and a zest for life.

Stage, Encounter, Movement
An artistic holiday
At Hotel TIROL, art becomes a living experience – inviting you to marvel, immerse yourself and forge new connections. Exhibitions by selected artists, which change every six months, bring fresh perspectives to the hotel. The connecting corridors leading from the ART-Aktiv-Spa to the wine cellar and the hotel car park are transformed into ART-Line corridors – walking galleries where every step opens up new perspectives and art becomes part of the holiday experience.
What awaits you:
- Exhibitions in the ART-Line corridors, changing every six months
- Curated displays focusing on Alpine themes, colour and form
- Atmospheric lighting and discreet signage with information about the artworks
- A programme of events featuring exhibition openings and wine tastings in the hotel’s own winery
Art in everyday life: from your room to the spa, from the spa to the car park – the hotel’s corridors become an inspiring gallery.
“Art does not reproduce the visible; rather, it makes visible.” Paul Klee

The House’s Signature Style
Our Artists
Under the heading ‘Our Artists’, we showcase styles that reflect the soul of the House: alpine, modern and full of character.
Christian Moschen
Christian Moschen, born in 1960 in Graf near Grins, combines a fascination with form and material – particularly clay and steel – in his works, transforming everyday impressions into powerful sculptures of unmistakable expressiveness.
A particularly striking example is the statue ‘Gloria’, which reveals its full radiance at the Hotel TIROL: Crafted from cold-forged stainless steel and standing 3.75 metres tall, it symbolises love, beauty and hope – themes that the artist distils into a form that is both modern and timeless. With her cup raised, Gloria invites us to celebrate life and exudes that zest for life that makes Moschen’s work so unique.

Hannes Mair
The Graz-based artist Hannes Mair runs his gallery and studio at Hofgasse 9. His works, created using acrylics and chalk on canvas, impress with their powerful brushstrokes and intense expressiveness. “The brushstroke captures my thoughts; my heart beats and my painting hand follows the feeling,” says Mair of his creative process. Visitors can witness the creation of his works in his courtyard studio, whilst an online shop also makes his art accessible digitally.
Please note: The selection on display changes every six months. You can find the latest exhibition information at reception and on this page.

Myriam Hann
Myriam Hann, an artist, cross-country skiing instructor and bookkeeper from Fließ, combines an open, down-to-earth attitude with a deep love of colour, nature and human connection in her work. “Colourful is my favourite colour” is her guiding principle and an expression of an attitude that celebrates diversity, freedom and movement. As someone who is an Ötztaler at heart, sport, family and everyday life shape her just as much as her art.
Her works spring directly from the heart and range from vibrantly coloured floral paintings to abstract compositions in sizes from 40×40 cm to 120×150 cm, mostly in acrylic on canvas. In her own studio in Fließ – or outdoors in nature – she creates works full of lightness and expressiveness that reflect a life lived consciously and colourfully.

Margit Zangerl
Margit Zangerl, born in Flirsch in 1962 and now living as a freelance artist in Roppen, Tyrol, combines a deep attachment to her homeland with a versatile, self-taught visual language. Her talent for drawing became apparent at an early age, with her first works created using the grid technique. In 1999, she returned to painting and honed her skills through numerous art seminars both at home and abroad.
Since 2008, she has been passing on her knowledge as a lecturer. She works with a wide range of materials, including acrylics, oils, pencils, oil pastels, as well as bitumen, sand, coffee and collages. Using her pouring technique, she creates multi-layered works with up to 15 layers of paint, characterised by spontaneity. She focuses primarily on local wildlife. She sees each painting as a narrative that bridges the visible and the invisible.

A curated journey
ART-Line Corridors, Wine Cellar & Car Park
The ART-Line corridors connect the ART-Aktiv Spa with our atmospheric wine cellar and the hotel car park. Through the use of light, materials and cleverly positioned sightlines, a space is created that offers an experience centred on three themes:
- Movement – dynamic works that evoke sport and activity.
- Stillness – contemplative works for moments of tranquillity.
- Indulgence – art that harmonises with the atmosphere of the wine cellar.
Exhibition openings & wine tastings: We regularly celebrate new exhibitions with guided tours, discussions with the artists and wine tastings from our cellar. We publish dates on an ongoing basis.
Two levels. Infinite well-being.
