SAUNA | STEAM BATH | INFRARED IN THE SKY SPA TIROL
Relax at the SKY-Spa Hotel
In addition to the sky pool, you can enjoy the sauna, steam bath and infrared Kneipp basin at the SKY-Spa in the wellness hotel.
Our Finnish panorama sauna is ideal for anyone who loves traditional sauna experiences: at 80–90°C and low humidity, you can really work up a sweat and leave everyday life behind. Those who prefer a gentler experience can enjoy the cosy warmth of the panoramic organic oak sauna or the steam bath – take a deep breath and relax completely at a pleasant 45–50°C with medium to high humidity.
A special highlight of our SKY-Spa in Tyrol is the infrared Kneipp pool, which combines the beneficial effects of deep-warming infrared rays with invigorating Kneipp therapy – perfect for anyone looking for an intense but gentle wellness experience.
The sauna area in the SKY-Spa at Hotel TIROL offers:
- Panoramic Finnish sauna (80–90°C)
- Panoramic organic oak sauna (45–50°C)
- Steam bath (45–50°C)
- Infrared Kneipp basin
For those who value privacy, a textile sauna and textile steam bath are also available at our ART-Aktiv-Spa. Whether classic or modern, our SKY-Spa is the ideal retreat to switch off, enjoy nature and recharge your body and mind.

The little sauna etiquette guide
After an active day in the mountains, there is nothing better than relaxing in our ‘hot heaven’, the SKY Spa at Hotel TIROL. A special sense of well-being awaits you in the hotel’s saunas – just let your mind wander and enjoy the panoramic view. Recharge your batteries with a sauna session in the Finnish panorama sauna, the panorama bio oak sauna or in our steam bath, followed by refreshment in the infrared Kneipp pool.
But what is the correct way to use a sauna? For those of you who are new to saunas, we have prepared a short guide to saunas. This will enable you to enjoy your sauna session during your wellness holiday in Tyrol with the best of knowledge and conscience.
- Take your time: It’s all about relaxation and slowing down, so make sure you allow enough time for your visit to the sauna.
- Don’t go to the sauna on a full stomach: Your stomach should be neither too full nor empty, as otherwise the sauna can cause stomach problems.
- Never go to the sauna when you are ill: Although a visit to the sauna strengthens the immune system, this is not the case if you are already ill. This can put excessive strain on your circulation.
- Bring a towel – nothing else: You should always take a towel with you to the sauna to sit or lie on.
- Keep your distance: One of the unspoken rules – keep your distance.
- Don’t forget to cool down: Cooling down after a sauna session is just as important as sweating, because during the heat phase your blood vessels dilate and then contract again during the cooling phase. This promotes blood circulation.
- Going into the sauna naked: Even though it may seem strange to some, you should definitely visit a sauna unclothed. For those who still feel uncomfortable, simply take a second towel with you and drape it around yourself. Or you can visit our textile sauna in the ART Active Spa.
- Take breaks: To truly relax, you should definitely take breaks between sauna sessions.
