The home of sunshine

The sun-drenched plateau of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis lies high above the valley floor. At an altitude of 1,200-1,400m, this landscape has been cultivated since ancient times and was once inhabited by the Celts and then the Romans. Over 2,000 annual hours of sunshine make Serfaus, Fiss and Ladis the sunniest places in Tyrol with an enviable microclimate. The area in and around Fiss is steeped in history, with ancient paths once trodden by the Romans and more recently by post-war smugglers just waiting to be explored. But Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis has even more to offer: in winter 212km of slopes, 119km of cross country ski runs, two of Tyrol's best ski schools, as well as snowboarding, adventure sports and freeriding areas attract winter sports enthusiasts, while in the summer the region is a walking and biking paradise that boasts a large fleet of e-bikes, adventure trails and interactive nature stations.
